Since I live right on the edge of native prairie, the mule deer seem to think my backyard in summer is a banquet of delicious floral edibles.  I've learned what to grow that they won't eat....Zinnias, marigolds, and rudbeckia.  Everything else has to be fenced.  Luckily I love painting these 3 flowers and this bouquet is typical of what you'll find on my kitchen table in August.
