Nobody Here But Us Chickens

My friend Susan has chickens, and I never tire of hanging out in their roomy enclosure, with the ducks, goats, pea hens and the multi-breed and hilarious group of chickens Sue has "collected". 

We had chickens when I was growing up, as most people did then.  I think it's time to go back to raising much more of our own food, don't you?  Meanwhile this quirky little painting hanging in your kitchen could get you to pondering the benefits of that!
