The painting this card is created from was one of the largest watercolours I've ever done (30 X 40") and was from a photo I took at a branding near Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. These guys are all from the eastern slopes of the Rockies and had driven across Alberta, along with their beautiful horses, to help out their friends on branding day. These guys are all "pretty handy" to the extent of building their own saddles and gear and braiding their own rawhide reatas. Not common ol' lariats for these guys!
