My mentor, the famous John Farnsowrth of Taos N. Mexico inspired the small painting this mug is derived from. It was painted using John's recommended 3 colours, red, yellow and blue. I took a couple of workshops with John, one in Taos, and one in France, in the early 2000's, and we've remained friends ever since. He allowed only "the 3" (as he called them) pigments, and I've pretty much used them ever since.
