We broke down in Tompkins, on the way to a rodeo in S. Saskatchewan, and in a field nearby, was this beauty. Old trucks have always been beautiful to me, and the fact that they were made of actual metal rather than plastic and fibre glass means that they become even more beautiful with the patina of time. They're like fine art sculpture, randomly placed in landscapes across the west, sometimes with truck loads of petunias planted by people who share my appreciation of their beauty. Or filled with watermelons!
This original watercolour is drymounted on birch cardleboard, sealed and varnished with UV protective invisible finish, making glass unnecessary. Painting is 15 X 21", outside dimensions 22 X 28" X 11/2"
