Cypress Hills Spring

10.5X8.5" pen & ink with watercolour.  More on the theme of cowgirls...this one modern, following the one of my grandmother in the same locale nearly 100 years ago.  Unlike Gram, who was very much ahead of her time, being the horsewoman she was, ranch women today are fully embracing horsemanship and are highly skilled ranch help generally; doctoring, roping, cattle handling, dog handling, and everything to do with the health and welfare of their herds.
