Coyote and Winter Trees

Coyotes are some of my favourite wild animals (I'm obviously not raising sheep) and I hear them howling regularly here in my coulee, though I seldom see one.  Who can resist those big fuzzy ears, the sharp little nose and those intelligent orange eyes!? 

Much magic is associated with Coyote, the Creator and the Jokester.  Coyote often makes things much more complicated for himself by trying to cut corners.
