These gorgeous Mule Deer live year around in and around the city, raiding gardens, boulevards and bird feeders.  They LOVE my petunias.  We don't see the bucks much though, till hunting season, and then boy oh boy, they're right up here in the thick of city living, sashaying regally through major intersections and sprawling beside flower beds.  A few years ago I had one wander by my back yard, his magnificent hat rack festooned with a string of someone's Christmas lights! 

When deer show up in your life, it's time to be gentle with yourself and others; a new innocence and freshness is about to be awakened.
