A Girl and Her Horses

Being a ranch-raised woman myself, who has, her whole life, adored horses, and who has been around cowgirls all her life, this painting represents that special relationship between women and their equine partners. I've used that new method...drawing first in pen & ink, then going in with the paint...the opposite to what I've always done. it's fun! This painting has been dry mounted on a wooden cradle board and then varnished...my favourite way of avoiding glass. The painting can then be damp wiped gently to removed dust or finger prints, is UV protective and invisible to the eye. It also gives the work a sleek, modern esthetic that will fit in any environment.
