There’s a pretty little farmyard in a creek bottom on the way to Elkwater, and every once in awhile I’d go by on wash day, which always tickled me. These days, this farmyard is abandoned so I’m really glad I had stopped one chinooky summer day and taken a photo. Looks like a great day for drying laundry on the line….imagine the fresh scent of those clothes!

I love this one…….days gone by, hardly anyone hangs the wash out anymore;)
What a comforting painting! There’s just something about laundry out on the line that always feel ‘homey’!
