The Feed Ground

It’s coming, and we’re all getting ready. ” White Man has stacked his hay very high; it must be going to be a hard winter.”  After last year, we’re thinking we’d better be ready for anything.

These calves are fat and sassy in a well-sheltered feeding ground along the base of a coulee. It’s incredible to witness the depth of colour in the shadows on sunny days in winter. For some reason, this is especially true just before a Chinook. Hopefully we’ll get another month (or even 2) before ranchers have to start forking out the feed.    SOLD
