Last spring my friend, photographer Kim Taylor, and I visited the historic Quilchena Ranch near Merritt B.C. Everybody there was so kind and hospitable & we had a great time.
This painting is of one of the young cowboys in front of the blacksmith shop in the ranch yard…..a small adventure in time travel.

Your paintings are gorgeous! It’s fun to see the ones about Quilchena. Such a gorgeous place with so much history.
Michelle, I’m so tickled that you’re still “with me” and following my blog. Loved that day @ Quilchena and will probably do more, so stay tuned. Thanks for your enthusiasm about the work as well. It means a lot.
You bet! I love seeing a new painting each day. Looking forward to more from Quilchena! There are endless picturesque places to paint there; cow camp, Quilchena falls, the Home Ranch etc, etc. I love exploring out there.
Lucky girl to have that family connection. Enjoy it every chance you get!
