Petunia Pals

It’s only in the last few years that I’ve begun to appreciate petunias.  I always thought they were rather “pedestrian”. Since I’ve been painting seriously though, they’ve become increasingly fascinating for me.  They, the white ones especially, catch the light in a way that is radiant and translucent, their shape distinctive, yet fragile. They bloom profusely and cascade everywhere, spilling their radiated light as they go.  Here, they are holding hands, in a circle of friendship, and thus the title.
