As you can see these guys, though resting, have decided that something is worthy of their attention. Ears alert, they look for any possible threat.
The photo reference for this painting has been in my pile for some time. The high contrast from white highlights on manes, to dark shadow had me almost buffaloed. Now I want to do it again…see if I can’t improve it.
