Here’s the last of the peonies for this year. The season we all adore and wait for all year is flying by so fast. Before it really even warmed up, the summer equinox had arrived, and the days were getting shorter again already. For about 6 frantic weeks, we Canadians try and fit in reunions, weddings, picnics, Centennials, anniversaries, summer vacations and homecomings. If you’re rural people, you can add in branding, haying, and various other huge undertakings. So it’s sad when the peonies are done, but at least we still have the sunflowers to anticipate.
