Here we are….my favourite subject matter; horses being horses. These guys are bucking stock at the Medicine Hat Stampede. Our rodeo is in late July, which is usually the hottest week of the year, in the hottest town in Canada. The stock yards behind the chutes are equipped with a sprinkler system which runs periodically and provides relief from the heat, thus making Down Time between performances as comfortable as possible for these valuable athletes.

It definitely is the hottest week and the hottest city … I miss it! Never tire of you painting horses! Beautiful!
