Cows at Sunrise

That lazy old sun is finally hauling  his butt up over the edge of the earth at about 8:30 in the morning.  I was on my way to Calgary last week and saw these cows silhouetted  against the dawn.  One benefit to winter is that I don’t have to get up at 4 a.m. in order to see the sun come up!
As I write this, it’s barely the dawn of a new year. 2012. Wow.  I’ve been doing this blog for 365 days, and have painted 347 little paintings for it in that time.  I posted a few photographs, and I admittedly missed a the odd day. It has been an incredible experience, showing me that anything is paintable, and to get over myself and get on with it! Your participation has been incredibly beneficial, and I thank all of you who are following, who have commented and who have bought little paintings.  That has made it such an interactive and joyous experiment.
Don’t go away though.  I’m going to continue to blog, and will try to do so almost daily.  I think I’ll get back to doing my  bigger pieces, and maybe let you in on my progress with them and a bit about my process. Look for the little ones too, but not every single day.
Finally, Happy New Year to everyone every where.  My wish is that we can collectively turn the bus around and start heading in the direction of Love and away from the direction of Fear. Our planet and everything on it is counting on us.
