When I first started to paint in watercolour, it would bring me to tears (and tantrums) attempting …and failing to paint these coulees and cut banks. I grew up with this landscape and it is in my bones, so I desperately wanted to be able to paint it. Persistence has brought me this far, and I keep working on it. It’s fun now; I never tire of the infinite variety of shape, colour, light and shadow.
