Another road trip this week, and futher evidence was gathered as to the spectacular light and skies this time of year! A friend and I went to Buffalo (not New York either, and you probably won’t find it on a map). Buffalo is straight north of Medicine Hat, on the Red Deer River. We had a picnic and I painted on location while the sun went down. A huge thunderhead parked itself overhead and between it and the setting sun, it was better than anything I’ve ever seen on a movie screen.
